Reading: A Blessing in Disguise

Writer: BSK BSK

Reading has been nothing short of a blessing in disguise for me. Beyond academics, it has opened up a new dimension of living—one that I never knew existed until I received my first book, The Secret. It was a gift from my friends Atharva and Kashyap, and little did I know that this single book would change how I see the world.

The book was truly helpful, and from that moment on, I couldn’t stop myself from buying more. Some of them have been read, while most still sit on my shelf, waiting for their turn. But there’s an excitement in knowing they are there—stories, ideas, and wisdom just waiting to be discovered.

More Than Just Knowledge

People often say they read for knowledge, and while that’s true, I’ve realized that knowledge is just a byproduct of reading. What truly captivates me is the process itself. It’s an intimate space where I am alone yet deeply connected—not just with the book, but with the author’s mind, thoughts, and emotions. It’s like having a conversation across time and space, where the words on the page are alive, whispering their secrets just to me.

I find authors to be my lifelong companions. Whenever I read, I am fully immersed, much like Arjuna on the battlefield, focused and present in the moment. Reading isn’t just an activity; it’s an intimate, personal, and almost sacred experience.

A Call to Read Again

If you’ve ever put reading on pause, I hope this reminds you of its magic. Pick up a book, lose yourself in its pages, and reconnect with that beautiful space of solitude and imagination. Who knows? Maybe the next book you read will open a whole new dimension of life for you too.

If this resonates with you, I’d love to know—what’s the book that changed everything for you? Let’s talk in the comments!
